Building Less and Bouncing Off Cushions

Manfred, Nov 06 2006 at 08:33

Rodney, Bringer of Smalltalk Books, has set up his company’s blog on Cushion. In his first post he explains that 50% of the people working at the company are of the female persuasion, which is quite a lot, even for a web company.

He also explains how people at 37 Signals think One Signal would be a better name and that they are going to do their future projects with no people at all! Quite a dandy feat.

Application Waiting For Purpose

While I was busy writing my (Poignant) Guide to Ruby… wait… no that’s Why’s excuse. The point is that Sir Lemon (of the Raspberry kind) was working on boar.d. An application to do something. When I asked him what it’s supposed to do, he responded with a soothing “I’ll have to find out what it is first, ofcourse”.

So there you have it, the first ever open-purpose-closed-DNS project. You can help him find out what it does on http://boar.d.
